The Mix was a four day pressure project that I took part in during the first week of the 3rd year in Digital Social.
We were split into groups and tasked to build something for a "digital social banquet".
Our group built these cocktail cups that generate variable jazz when the users drink from them.
The cups use a pressure sensor in the bottom to calculate amount of liquid left in the cup. Each cup is associated with a different instrument and when the amount of liquid changes the pace/tone and volume of the assigned instrument changes.
The project runs on an Arduino connected to a laptop running Processing.
The fantastic video of the project was put together by none other than Mikolaj "Alex" Gackowski, whose work you can find at mgackowski.com
