Dundee Hackathon 2015

In the end of January 2015, Dundee University arranged a Hackathon with the aim to design around the university services.

My team were asked to design for the communication between the university and the students and after some research and brainstorming, we built a prototype using conductive ink and an arduino.

The prototype is a disposable coffee cup that tweets when the conducive buttons are touched, the tweets are tailored to spread information about events at the university, it could be used for counting attendance at club nights or other student gatherings.

The cup contains an arduino that is connected to the internet and uses a processing library to tweet messages from a dedicated account.

You can read about the entire project process in this blog post.
